Crank shortage?

Been looking around at options for cranks for an engine I'm putting together, it does seem that the mid range options available are limited at the moment. Ideally I'd like a 60 with a 110 rod.

Bgm - doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere

Some MEC / Tameni ones but they're pretty standard spec 57 or 60 / 107 rods

AF only seem to have RB options with 107 rods

Evolution NG are available but again 107 rod

MB hand built out of my league

What other options are out there? I'm sure I must be missing something....

Or just get a common 58 SIL crank and put a 110 Yam rod in, cheap and excellent option.

I have a genuine innocenti GP crank, is that worth re-rodding, you think?

I've had the same problem, trying to get a 58/110 crank. Phil at MB reckons Feb before the BGM cranks, which I fancied, are available. A friend of mine pointed me towards Harry Barlow. He put me one together - built, balanced, welded and out of his door within 48 hours. Top service, great price and sounds like a bloody nice bloke to boot. He said he concentrates on 60 mill stroke cranks, I got lucky that he just happened to have a set of suitable webs in when I called.

I'll have a look over the weekend, pretty sure I've got a couple of BGMs, just not sure if 58 or 60.

SIL cranks need the webs [or the rod] machining if you want to fit big end shims[advisable] with Yam rods.

I did have a MEC [so called] Race crank in 60 x 110 but reluctant to recommend it's use on anything powerful as they don't have big end shims.

Cheers, Bob.

I'd not seen that site before, tho' it says BGM crank that looks very much like the evolution one I have in my rapido motor, which is a 60/107, maybe was the only pic they had....
