GP barrels, difference

Just about to rebuild a GP200 motor, have 2 barreles to choose from, 1 looks completely standard, the other as had the ports cleaned up and the transfer entries knife edged, biggest difference is this barrel has had the inlet port made deeper by about 2.5mm, by lowering the bottom of the port, apart from that all the other port dimensions seem the same, what effect will this have on performance,not looking to build a performance just a decent motor, porting work is a bit of a black art to me.

as long as you dont buy a piston with a cut skirt on the inlet side it should be ok, sounds like a stage 4 barrel, is the exhaust port wider and higher too ?
