Hi guys, does anyone know where I can get an early kit cylinder Imola head? It's the type with the side squish and 4 stud holes. I've tried Cam Lam and Mike Phoenix but they are out of stock until September. Thanks in advance Pete.

You have asked for the right one i assume, and I assume its for the one you had a thread about earlier in the week? ie the head with the collets, you don't want a mk 1 head if so, you need to specify the collet version
Donnie.

Yes mate, I spoke to them both on the phone and neither had any in stock. I've cleaned up my head now and I think it will be ok to re-use it. Thanks for your time Pete.Donnie wrote:You have asked for the right one i assume, and I assume its for the one you had a thread about earlier in the week? ie the head with the collets, you don't want a mk 1 head if so, you need to specify the collet version

I've spoken to a grown up and they said its ok to use again. It just needs skimming slightly.Donnie wrote:thought you said there's a bit missing off it?

The squish was set at 1.3mm so if I take 0.1mm off that should then give me 1.2mm? Which I believe should be ok. Thanks for your comments much appreciated.Donnie wrote:OK, just make sure the surfaces are mated properly and you check how the skimming affects your squish mate.

Yes I'll make sure. What method do you use for mating the surfaces? I'm thinking of using a mirror with some 800 wet and dry taped to it and slowly lap it on that. Is that a good or bad idea? I'd rather know now before I try it. Cheers Pete.Donnie wrote:Don't assume it'll give you 1.2mm, definitely check it when fitted.
