I need to re-pack the wadding in my expansions end can, has anyone had experience of doing this,

is there any type of padding better than others/recommended?

Please share.

Yes, I've re-packed the JL3 on my Lambretta and the SIP pipe on my GTS, both dead easy. Buy the blanket type, if the outer can doesn't seperte from the inner, find a piece of plastic waste pipe that will just slip over the inner perforated pipe. Wrap the blanket around the plastic pipe until the overall diameter is the same as the main can and then slip the roll inside. Then just remove the plastic pipe.

Cheers for the reply, did it make a big difference to the noise levels?

Hello

I've always used the loose stuff and recently did an 80s Fresco using this stuff. Massive bag for a bluey, not bad nipper.

Don't ram it in too tight though as it doesn't dampen the sound as well as it does when packed a bit on the loose side.
Unsure if the blanket type is better at dampening noise but looks it like Coaster prefers it.

cheers
