On German stuff that hasn't passed TuV needs to be marked

Ive always taken this to mean parts developed for the track and not necessarily for the road, exhausts seem to figure predominantly under this category.

Parts which have no form of homologation what so ever.
Parts which are so anti-social/illegal/dangerous/badly made there is no chance of any testing agency allowing their use in public.
Race slick tyres may grip like snot on a blanket, but their wear - few hundreds of miles - or increased susceptibility to punctures makes them an unrealistic prospect on the road, not with standing the legal requirement for minimum tread depth. So not for Highway use.
