Is anyone running one of the Sendec rev counters?
Have fitted mine as per instructions but can`t get a reliable reading,it`s all over the place.
Is mine a dud or has anyone any tips?

There's a delay in the reading if that's what you mean?

i recognise that there will be a delay
sometimes it seems okay then other times it seem badly wrong
going to redo cable before kelso and see what occurs

im using one with no probs...exept for a lube/maint check which popped up but its since reset itself, have you wound the wire enough times round the ht lead and taped it?is the other end snuggley fitted into its groove on the guage...your not running a variatronic by any chance?they spark twice per revolution so will read double..
there will always be some delay with a dig rev counter,i use it for when im cruising/speed check etc...your not going to get a gear change indication from one of these

Same problem as Gaz, just seems to be all over the shop.
Fitted to an old-style px conversion.I fitted it to gauge engine revs at cruising/max speed to give a more accurate gauge of engine performance than the speedo itself.
I reckon I`ll do the same and reroute cable and try again

did exactly what it said in the instructions - made double sure the cable was sat correct in the unit and wrapped it round the amount of times it said - but i didn`t tape it i used a tie wrap as it said - could this be problem?
