I've just put some of them festoon led's in. Got an led speedo bulb as well!

Yeah I think it has to be middle to illuminate the number plate. I'd have thought the MOT tester would have noticed it! Twice!

I would recommend glueing the festoons in. I use a hot melt glue gun to stop them turning round in use. Not such a big problem with the large festoons shown but the smaller ones can end up facing backwards. Not a problem with a normal lamp.

So I fitted the LED speedo bulb and although there's a bit of a white spot I'd say it lights up the face just as well as the normal one and certainly good enough for nighttime riding.

Waiting for the big festoon bulb to come and I'll try that too.

I tiewrap them in place..... ;)

Well I changed the festoon bulb in the headset for an LED one and it seems to be working well and good enough for a side light. (The festoon is the second whiter light on the video.

Glue gunned it in just to be certain
