I'm looking to buy a decent quality 225 piston at 70.4mm dia.

Preferably with a full length skirt and thin rings.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I'm thinking £50 - £60 rather than asso type money as it's for a temporary fix.

So far i've look at the thin ring piston on beedspeed for £49.99, but are there any other options?

It's gotta fit a standard lambretta crank rod combination. 58/107.

Thanks

I have a sneaky suspicion that the one from beedspeed is a mahle too....

I will ask them today.

How did you get on with this hunt?

A pal of mine is also after a 70.4mm piston and I sent him AF's way too but they are now saying that they're out of the Mahle and other options too. There seems to be a real lack of availability for decent pistons at a decent price, which is exactly what the Mahle/Escort thin ring was :(

^... Chris, what a great offer, thanks.

As it stands, my pal has a used but serviceable GPM (thick ring) in it at the mo' but he's looking to replace it with a thin ring item. I'll pass on your great offer and let him decide.

Cheers

If you visit the Mitaka site they list Pistons for everything and show all the dimensions (crown height etc) so you can work out what you want from there.
