Been found, in a hedge all bashed up apparently.
Found a few hundred yards away from the owners home and instead of going round to see him and tell him the police have taken it away to a pound and have rung him to inform him they,ve found it but its now miles away and they want a £150 release fee ! it beggars belief, now the poor lad has to repair his scoot, pay the release fee and hire a van to collect it ? surely common sense should prevail and the save the owner more grief and money ?

So you get your scoot nicked and get charged £150 for the privilege. Talk about adding insult to injury.
Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.

Welcome to Great Britain 2013.
You pay your insurance premium which has no regulation whatsoever
Your bike gets nicked by some low life knuckle scrapper
They trash it and leave it in a hedge.............. "innit"
Plod finds it and takes it God knows where
You then have to pay £150 to get the bits back (Insurance might/ might not pay this but you have an excess so you pay anyway)
Scrot who knicked it , if caught, will get a slapped wrist (and then claim his "human" rights were violated....)
And it goes on and on and on- the poor punter who owns the bike is the only loser.
What a crock of shite this country has become.
Rant still simmering
Chris
