I don't know what the proper term for them is but you can buy push on spring steel clips that will hold the pins in position. I would, unless someone else knows the correct term, take the badges to a fasteners/fixings dealer and see what they suggest.
Personally, I've always carefully bent them back to the panel and applied a drop of Araldite to the bent over pin. This can be easily removed with a sharp blade late if required.

No doubt there is an easier solution about somewhere :?: :?: :?:

I have used a precission screw driver to bend the shaft of the pin i.e shatter it so that it has to chance of falling out again... not everyones ideal fix, but works for me.

A mate used to take the badges along to a manufacturing jeweller (there is one in most major towns) and get tiny screws silver soldered onto the back. He would then clean the badges (a chemical process) and silver plate them. They looked better than new and fitted very easily.

This sounds expensive, but it was very good value for money.

legshield and side panel badges are usually held on by flaring out the pins behind the panel................
i have a special tool for this............will dig it out and take some pics
but basically it clamps the badge on ,then a pointy bit screws into the centre of pin and spreads it.............so securing it.........
have used it for many years now............. :D
