Apart from the fact that it is obviously not original, are there any other cons to fitting a side stand?

Sorry Andy, you lost me there??? I'm not the tallest Lambretta owner, and just thought that by fitting a side stand, I'd get a better length kicking stroke? I wondered if a side stand would twist the moutings etc?

:D just giving some good advise..erm well short (pardon the pun) of elton johns platform boots im not really sure :) can you lean the scooter over to the left as far as possible ?? I have a friend who is rather short and it can be quite entertaining tbh when he is kicking off a lammy :D

we always keep a couple of shortarses in the club, just for the comedy value of them kicking over/or push starting their scooters. for extra hilarity, take the plug lead off, and watch the little buggers jump up and down like f@@k while tryin to get a lammy gannin. endless hours of fun! full members are 6 foot or over.

Trying to kick it over on a side stand is asking for a bent side stand or cross member IMHO

Whatever stand, take it off it before you kick it...

f****n ell....forget side stands for kickstarts....KICK START OFF THE STAND.

However....kick starting aside.....side stands look cool as f@@k on cut downs, and should be on the correct side (for balance reasons) hence Andys post! Lol
