My Taffy pipe on my Ts1 is on its last legs - only 10 years old!

Should I :

1) Pay over the odds on ebay for a replacement.

2) Change the drive ratio's and get a different pipe.

3) Fire up the welder and grinder and repair it.

I love the low down power/torque i get from the taffy and don't really want a to compromise what i've got, but as taffys are no longer made what do i do??

If you've got a welder, why not make a new one the same as the old one?
