Hi all, I have just fitted a new chain and front sprocket.
I went from a 15fr 47rr to a 16fr 47rr as I want slightly more top end.

I looked on the Lambretta gearbox guide and it suggested an 82link chain.

Now it's fitted it seems really tight! Just wanted to check I have fitted it correctly.

Any suggestions....

Cheers Russ :fb:

Are you sure that's an 82? If I zoom in it looks like an 81 link which should be ok (1/2 link counts as 1, but tight) because you only went up one tooth on both sprockets. The chain looks tight in the photo but hard to tell if you have any movement in it.

The bottom tensioner/adjuster/ guide looks like it could do with coming down slightly to me .. you might have to elongate the holes or modify a bit, but it will give the chain a smoother run and slacken it off a little.

Have to agree with this. The bottom guide should be a guide not tensioner and it looks like it is slightly tensioning the chain in the pic. I had exactly the same issue when I fitted a similar style bottom guide and had to get the dremel out to take some off the bottom and let it sit lower.
