Bit of a bodgers question I know but I've used silcone in the joints but still leaks and end up with black shite everywhere, anyone ever tried using heatshrink around the joints and will the heat of the exhaust cause a problem, I have got some that will fit and the spec is 110 degrees but not sure if it will cause a problem. Any ideas ?

look on ebay there are rubber sleeves that you can lock wire or jubilee clip on, i wouldny use exhaust past as it can be perminant and ruin the exhaust

wurth do a hi temp matt black silicone sealant. its gggggreat.

it wil seal a slip joint or anything else you need sealing. if you spray the surfaces with brake cleaner first then it sticks like crazy.

i have re built engine mounts with this stiff and twigs before and it lasted from italy to the uk. also sealed a split petrol tank which lasted 500 miles or so.
