the 3F 7F looks like an error code in Hexadecimal (possibly a bad chip or connection internally). Just call or email SIP, tell them what's going on and I'm sure they would make it right. I've set up a bunch of these, as long as everything is connected and grounded correctly they seem to work.

I'm betting it's just a bad solder joint internally. 2 years is a long time for anyone to cover.
If you do decide to bin it I'll be glad to take it off your hands and will pay shipping to get it to the US.

If you bought it direct from SIP, the warranty is 2 years (same on all goods in Europe, except the UK where you get screwed!). If it's only just over the 2 years, I'd contact SIP and see if they can do anything as a goodwill gesture.

Can someone post a link to the original Eden post detailing the wassell system connections or an appropriate wiring diagram pleaseForemanBob wrote:Yes.... That's what I've done...Nerdy Norm wrote:Can anyone confirm that's it's OK to pick up the rev counter signal from the yellow stator wire (Wassell with battery)?
I've searched this thread, and have found another thread has been linked to:
http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=24734
However, the posts from "Eden", which seem to be the ones which explain about this, are mysteriously missing
Need to use a resistor spark plug though before it will work (such as NGK B8 RES vs B8 ES)

Presuming that you mean for the rev counter all I did with mine was cut one of the yellows from the stator, put the two ends into a 3 way wago connector and plug the brown into the third socket.
I had to double up brown wire to get it to grip in the connector as it's a very fine wire.
