fast flow tap

does the tap need a fibre washer where it connects nut onto the tank? the one i have bought does not have one.will the tap seal ok when the plastic base it tightend against the tank thread?

My last 2 have had a rubber o ring for a seal.

Some use a plastic washer and some have the washer as part of the mesh cover, so the answer is..... not always.

cheers corrado,i have an escort rear shocker fitted so hopefully the extra length of the shocker will make the tap fit easier,i hope :?

its been mentioned before,..........but please check that your fast flow tap is in fact a fast flow item,because.........some just arnt...........even though they are sold as such............................
best checked by the old method of timing the filling of a pint glass etc...........

I can concur with Sean here, I must have bought three or four before I found one that was any good - camlam was the answer - ebay aint :shock:

Just bought a fast-flow tap rear exit from Camlam, "Has any one used one of these and are they any good", as I will be fitting it as soon as I can get back in the garage......... Doctors what do they know ?? Surley I can play in the garage and get better at the same time... :lol:

me too, makes for a nice fuel pipe route.
although not so impressed with the low fuel warning light. I failed to see it and ran out of fuel for the first time in years [luckily at the top of a hill with a petrol station at the bottom :mrgreen: ] , which kind of defeats the object of having one... I think I'll replace the led with a more noticeable bulb.
