Oh yeah, I'm now running the pull choke, too (no difference really).

And I've read the Sudco manual (again) and absorbed as much as I my brain will allow...

have you tried changing the atomiser, I refer you to my honourable gentleman Mr Corrado......

"You can get different atomisers for the TM24, they come fitted with Q0 ...... P8 is next leanest, Q2 next richest. I'm told that if you change then go at least 4 numbers to make much of a difference, eg if you want to go leaner go P6 then P2

Yep, will look into both slide and jet options. Not sure if slides are available.

Atomisers are expensive, and a lot of dickin' round to file a slide...

Anyways, a little rich at 1/4 is a good thing, rolling off from WOT, you don't want a nip up..

James has a 4H16 and 5K1 needles, he offered to lend them to me when I was setting up my carb, give him a bell maybe he'll offer them to you as well. If one of the needles proves to work well then source a genuine or the keystar equivilent.

Here is a basic list that james has compiled..

TM24 needle selection chart

Designation a b D1 D2 D3 D4 D5

4DH7 50.4 22.6 2.52 2.52 2.39 2.10 (1.79)
4H16 50.3 24.2 2.52 2.52 2.32 1.96 (1.64)
5K1 52.4 25.4 2.52 2.52 2.29 1.85 1.84
5N13 52.4 27.2 2.52 2.52 2.33 1.74 1.12

4E1 50.3 28.0 2.52 2.52 2.34 2.13 (1.92)
4F10 50.2 24.5 2.51 2.51 2.38 2.13 (1.88)
4L13 45.1 25.0 2.52 2.52 2.34 1.84 -

The figures in parentheses indicate the diameter at the farthest measurable
point on the needle, but not quite at the 50mm mark.
