hi, all. this is my first lambretta build and i have the top and bottom fork races to fit, have tried to fit the top one the other day but it seems over tolerance and was short on time so left it for now. Anyway i want to fit them tommorow and put the forks in, am not back in work till next week so cant measure them till then, has anybody had any problems fitting these being oversize etc ?
am thinking of putting them in the freezer and getting a hairdryer on the frame and using some light oil instead of grease, also filing a slight chamfer on the edge,
whats a good drift to use ? any tips ??
cheers

measured them today and the new ones are a few thou oversized, might get away with taking some off with emery a bit at a time till they match the old ones.
so just as you said winter, cheers mate, bit dissapointing as rather than cheap indian these were expensive .
