I got a TV Light Switch (BECME) for me TV Ser. 2. Unfortunatly the wires were cut off. A mate told me there was an article in Scootering mag how to repair switches. Any ideas which issue or helpful links?

Thanks,
Rosi

Can't help I'm afraid. But as you've got a switch in poor repair it might be just as well to have it reconditioned by someone like Jem Booth. Although, there are one or two electrical whizzes on here that could possibly sort it for you.

Can't remember the issue number as it's a fair few years back, but if you want to get it apart you need to drill the top off of the two brass rivets (where the fixing screws go through) with a 5mm bit. If they start to spin holding another drill bit against the other side will stop it. To fix back together you need a suitable size brass tube (O/D approx 4.7mm), peen one end over, cut to size and use a fixing screw to peen the other end when back together.
