As I may be getting Avanti Kit No.??? in the next few days, which exhaust fits straight on WITHOUT any fettling. I know the MB Clubman doesn't fit as Physcodelicropcircle (could've picked a shorter name ) had to send his back 'cus the seam fouled on the cylinder. From Ron's instructions:-
Exhausts
Any of the following matching the right exhaust system, please ask for
advice for your ideal road requirement.
4.44:1 Standard TV/GT200 or LI150 with 47/18 sprockets or any combination to achieve
this ratio use Old style Taffy pipe, Chiselspeed ADS-3, Avanti Clubman
4.6:1 LI150 with 46/17 sprockets, JL3, Franspeed Road, Avanti Clubman
4.7:1. GP200 with 47/20 sprockets use JL3 0r Franspeed Road pipe, Avanti Clubman
or 42mm Clubman Modified
4.8:1 SX200 with 46/15 LI150 with 48/17 use Franspeed Race or Avanti big bore
JL3 / Franspeed Road
Do all these need fettling?

Ist exhaust on mine was a "mk1" Ron Moss Avanti 48mm big bore. I then changed to a franspeed Avanti racetour. Both fitted ok but it's a struggle getting the nuts on between bracket and cylinder. I ended up using the thinnest nut i could find.

I can only vouche for the JL3 which on mine with a 3mm packer fitted because of the 110mm rod did not need any fettling. All that was necessary was to put a large nut on each of the crankcase studs to space the swan neck bracket out sufficiaently to get the nuts that bolt it to the expansion. Someone else ground the barrel fins down but my method worked without resorting to ther grinder and has been good for around 2k miles of running.

I'm running a 42mm KBA Clubman while I'm waiting for one of Ron's SuperClubman exhausts to walk here from Eastern Europe.
I had to pack the swan neck studs with washers and file a slot in the GRP head cowling.
Come on Mr Lomas, where's SuperClubman No.16? I need it now
I'd buy an MB one, but don't see why I should have to arrange to get it painted myself
