Noticed a lot more vibration on my RB and it was getting harder to start from cold and started to smoke a bit, checked the gearbox oil and it was low, so I stripped it and found this

Now got to decide what crank to try this time

Get crank checked for tru by Rayspeed, you might find its fine.

Sounds like the oil seal plate is warped and oil seal is blown....put new uprated oil seal plate & screws in, plus new oil seal, re-fit trued crank and off you go...... ;o))

I need to get the engine rebuilt in the next 10 days so prob not enough time to send it away and sorted, it's defo out not checked by how much yet but you can see the difference in the webs. I'll get it sorted for another engine,

Only checked the seal plate quickly but I'll replace it anyway.

The engines had a easy life with the low speed limit over here, only had a few decent runs on the mainland and France

OK, might be that the crank is actually twisted then, and this is whats caused the oil seal failure etc......fedex it to JB Tuning and have it trued n tig welded.
