Well gents, thank you for all the replies. Here's an update of what I'm doing.

The barrel and head are being sent to Harry Barlow, the Nikasil will be removed and replaced with Ceramic, the ports will also have some work done as some of the original porting design is slightly flawed. A new modified piston/rings supplied by Harry and then I get the joy of running it all in again.....

He tells me the ceramic barrels are almost bomb-proof, so here's hoping it runs a bit longer than the original set-up. He seems a very straight-up bloke too, so I've every confidence.

Not cheap, but when ever is running a Lambretta cheap?.... ;)

Apticote 2000 is the one I have used previously

Have a look here http://www.poeton.co.uk/w1/nickel-silic ... oating.htm.

I have had several ceramic barrels and never had a problem related to bore.
