I'm looking into fitting a front disc brake, I'm torn between the outboard and inboard hydraulic , are there any major differences in performances between the two?

Dont know about any differences Dazza but my scootrs anti dive front disc brake is brilliant mate, the difference it makes to riding and the confidence it gives is worth every penny of which ever you choose.

Outboard performs much better. Inboard you have 1 small piston pressing 1 little pad pressing on a disc and pushing it against another little pad. Outboard you have 2 pistons pressing on large floating pads on a stationary disc.

That isn't to say the hydraulic inboard can't serve you well enough. Of course, semi-hydraulic introduces more mush into the system.

We strongly considered redesigning the inboard disc when we cast ours but kept it original.

Cheers.
