Have to say that summary is not really what I've found. The JL3/FRanspeed road works very well on the Muggys(aside from Red Ghosts probs). Comparisons on the dyno show gains virtually every where over a 42mm clubman especially after say 5000rpmleehuggy72 wrote:Thanks guys, so basically its a trade off...

It all depends on the type of riding you do.
The exhaust needs matching to the gearing.
If you like balls out fun then your existing set up should work well, but I can apprciate that not everyone likes hooning it around all over the place.
Why are people using 28 and 30mm carb with clubmans? Don't they know it's nearly £1.40 a litre. Carbs built for high revs with exhausts that aren't.
For me .... Mikuni TM24, ADS tour exhaust and 17 x 46 gearing.

Ive just took are lass,s clubman off her 200 muggy and replaced it with a Siagon Fresco copy that i last used approx 3 years ago, still looks like new 
, any how it produces 14.62 bhp with the fresco compared to 11.72 with the clubman on, chiselspeeds dyno, it gives 12 bhp at 5,000rpms [peaks at 6,800] and the carb settings are practicly the same. A word of warning though, it didnt bolt straight on, i had to warm the U bend and pull it into the right position but as said earlyer in this thred it may be down to the exhaust port on mugellos, 28mm delly, ram air on elbow, GP200 gearing.
