The locating lug needs to be ground off, so the hub can move freely.

..hmm thats what i figured as an option...just to be sure before the grinder comes out..? so it just relies on anti dive bracket...?

any other imformation..advice...?

..ahh ...so thats whats making the brakes independant from the suspension... allowing you better brakes/suspension on bumpy corners..?

I mighthave a fork link already missing the lug

It's either a case of removing the groove on the speedo housing or removing the lug on the fork link. I went with removing the lug on the fork link.
