Hi Guys,
Update !
As a reminder, I created the Spark Magnifier in 2006 and I have been building it on request since then. To improve the build quality I have finally decided to have the Spark Magnifier assembled in a more industrial way. After a year or so to set everything up, it is now available on http://www.kytronik.com , better and cheaper than before ! :geek:

Yes it works and no it does not give you the same boost as a new cylinder kit
But it makes your engine definitively smoothier and more responsive. ;)

You can read long discussions about it on:

Oh well, if it was on Modern Vespa, it must be true.
Good luck to ya, but just seems like more bits to go wrong and more wires hanging about all over the place.
There was a hype here a few years ago about split electrode spark plugs. Just what you need, a spark that jumps about all over the place, that'll give you a nice uniform burn...
That's not going anywhere...

dude, before writing, please at least click on the links to check that you are stating something relevant.... there are no additionnal wires with the SM.
Still your point is valid about other potential source of failure.
Good thing is that, if it does not work, simply remove it in 2 minutes.

I made one out of bits from Maplin and it did seem to work on my T5, daily starting definitely improved but my soldering/home electronic skills let me down and it fell to bits after 10 months, but I'll buy a properly made one

One thing I have never ever been is a dude. Horses aren't as much fun as a two stroke.
