It's just the basics, you already know all of it and more (but feel free to watch and enjoy - lol).
il certainly make a point of asking if the timing on my troublesome gt 240 was set by finding tdc or just relying on manufacturers marks

does the stinger sizes you mentioned also hold true for say a bgm v4 clubman

Set a world record, be that guy. :D

We ran open class at Bonneville last year, it's a blast. I ran a RB20 on a cutdown (exploded the crank). Costa Mesa rider on his Monza 230 made 87 mph and there was Utah rider on a full body S2 with a quatrini 210 that hit the mid 70's.

There is at least one person (Geramy) building a Casa case with rotary valve and a few more from California building bikes for Bonneville.
Straightliners run the 2-way meetings also, and as a world record event, held here in UK.
That event uses the same equipment as used the other day, and also for the likes of the TV shows with Guy Martin etc
Repeatability of runs is good on such days, or a progression that can be seen. Trev who runs it has some famous words following a good run, "now go back it up"... for him that's as good as saying make it official.

You used one word a number of times that says it all, "balance". Yes, you're looking at a number of different elements but the important thing is the relationship between these elements, rather than considering them in isolation, which I think that you got across clearly.

Good vid' :)
Appreciate the feedback, thanks Adam.

When do they allow the scoots to run? Familiar with Speed Week, World of Speed, SCTA, USFRA, but as I understand, none of those sanctioning bodies allow 10-inch wheeled bikes to run. Thanks!

Am I the only one that is amazed to see that at speeds around 100mph it takes an extra 10hp to get another 10mph?
The old Law of diminishing returns :D
Wind resistance is proportional to the square of your speed. So increasing your top speed by about 40% means double the required power. OR, you need to halve your drag coefficient; pretty difficult even if you lie prone.

In a vacuum, any lambretta could reach several hundred mph. Assuming you could get an air supply to your carb

Here is a video of the man in action and a bit of the scooter specification too: https://youtu.be/jYw-Df75Olg

Looks like fun, wonder what that engine would do in a cut/raked frame with slim/low leggies?!

Well if we’re talking about traditional group 6 with vega legshields, I don’t think there’d be much difference (could even be slower)
In a good streamliner, I’d guess 150+

Dunno - interesting stuff Image

So when do tyres become the limiting factor?
Fag packet calculation says 10” tyre rpm at 127 mph is about 42 revs/second (150 mph takes it up to about 50 rps)
Serious balls!
