What's the speed trap?
you have to reach a certain speed in mod 1 and then brake in the box to show you have control of the bike in an emergency stop.Usually you set off, head round the bend set out and then straighten up,head for the trap then hit the brakes without hitting any of the cones or crossing the line. When you take the lessons they'll show you it but you have to reach a certain speed which you will struggle on a standard 125 a kitted one would be fine but that then is illegal(good old catch 22).

IIRC you go through the speed trap twice, once for the emergency stop and once for the hazard avoidance. You need to do a minimum speed of 50kph, which isn't much but you only get a short run to get up to that speed which a standard 125 may struggle with. Fail to reach that speed and you fail the test.
