100 mph on a lambretta was bloody difficult 20 years ago

I don't get much time to post on here but having seen the thread on bugger all seems to happen on here thought i would give it a go. Twenty odd years ago the effort required to achieve a genuine 100 mph on a Lambretta took a great deal of time, effort, engineering and people. It was a barrier though we were determined to beat. Fast forward 20 years and off the shelf engines are capable if doing the same without much effort. It just goes to show you cant stop progress. I wonder what it will be like in another 20 years.cheers

i had a mate in the late 70s early80s got clocked by the police doing 90 on a af 250 engine surely 10 mph over 40 years isn't loads

Oh well had a go trying to post some images but link doesnt work. To much messing around just to try and upload one image. Improvements to this forum to make it better. Make uploading images easier than studying for a degree in astrophysics, surely the technology exists to do so
