on the naughty step as well! Re the LCGB form I used to enjoy posting there- it was very helpful and full of interesting stuff. However, about 6 or 7 years back the LCGB banned all non- members from posting, and from then on it appears to have gone downhill. Obviously their rules etc but a general loss to scootering IMO.
The LCGB see the forum as a benefit to paying members and not a ban on anyone who's not a member.
but they did stop all "non LCGB" people from posting!
Scootering since 1968.

thats right.

initially they let anyone post, then they restricted it to members only. In effect they banned non members- do we agree on that??

BLOA sounds good news to me, a few of us have wanted to do more Lambretta only orientated stuff, but not wanted to join LCGB, been to pubs on rally's where it was only LCGB went to Tanhill LCGB...not much interaction it seemed if your face isn't known. Anyway will try not to get into slanging match about it...if BLOA is organising events nationally, etc, be a good thing in mine and some friends eyes. Will go investigate further cheers!

Get it known then. They're a friendly bunch, and communication is a two way thing.

Far too many people join clubs of all kinds then leave because ''nobody talks to them''.

I've been a member of quite a few forums that have been accused of "being a clique" generally from people who've never posted. On here there's over 4,000 members and it's a fair bet that 50% have never posted. Probably a hardcore of 10% who make 90% of all posts but they get accused of being a clique.
