The sad demise of Scootrs
I don't know how many people would agree but I regret the loss of Scootrs. I imported my TV3 fully restored from them 13 years ago and have had a lot of various parts and accessories over the years, always with excellent service. I was wondering what would have become of all the various stock they had in store at the time of their closure? in particular I was looking for a couple of their tubeless rims. Does anyone have any knowledge about where I might find some? I realise there are lots of tubeless rims on the market these days but I liked the look of the Scootrs ones which looked pretty much like normal split rims.

I too still run ScootRs tubeless and also am saddened that ScootRS are no longer in the limelight. When you consider what they did for hydraulic front discs, I do think it a shame that they may no be around anymore (?).
Do we know for sure that they’re no longer trading? There was talk of them still being around for trade only.

I heard that the owner of ScootRS was an American citizen and when he seperated from his wife he was not allowed to own a Vietnamese company,ScootRS was a Vietnamese company.Whether that is true or not,I dont know.

Still doesn't answer question of where all the remaining stock is...even if company was in his ex wife's name where is the stock, it hasn't resurfaced anywhere. I've friends in BKK Thailand and they don't know of any of it about. The trade only shop is Saigon isn't it? But they've now opened a Thai branch called Bangkok Scooter Centre .
Atomic parts range were good too.
