MOT exemption

You don't NEED insurance to register an import. Currently you need a dating cert./Nova/MOT/Form V55 and may possibly be subject to a vehicle inspection.
After May 2018 you will no longer need an MOT if the vehicle is forty (or more) years old.
In the case of a non MOT vehicle you do need a short form which declares the vehicle to be MOT exempt. I believe it comes with the V55 (from memory)

It's over forty years old, it's a Lambretta/Vespa/other marque scooter it's exempt, end of.
