Looking into getting a helmet or bracket mounted camera, anybody got and recommendations or ones to avoid?

I've recently got an IXRoad Camera & it seems good, does HD and 4K at a good frame rate. Not had a chance to use it much yet, but the video quality on a few tests is fine.
There seems to be standard mounting points across brands so you find plenty of options, thinking of going for the body straps myself.

if you want a super compact HD action cam the size of a Tic Tac box 60mm x 35mm x 17mm I'd thoroughly recommend the Mobius or the later version Mobius 2
its small and light enough to atttach to small quadcopters and is used extensively by the Drone and RC flying crowd.

Apart from being a true1080p High Definition camera with 60Fps it is available with 2x different wide angle lenses as well.
There are loads of extras available including an extension camera lens cable which enables you to fit the camera hidden inside your helmet with just the tiny camera lens outside the helmet .
The camera has various modes including Motion Detect and Intervalometer etc
The camera is computer programmable so you adjust file formats and other settings by downloading a simple free Mobius program to your PC and attaching the Mobius via a USB b cable

I've toyed with the idea of getting a GoPro, or something similar. But those wide angle lens would drive me to distraction. The fish eye effect is really distracting. Particular with the narrow lanes where I live. It would be like riding in a tunnel.

I use a Drift HD... its fine... got a remote button you can mount on handlebars to start & stop recording.
I have used mounted to helmet or legshields... prefer helmet mount.

digger9million uses a Drift for his Youtube ' Lambretta vlog time' vids and the definition, audio and perspective is excellent .
They are expensive though

I have a Sena one that's pretty good. It mounts on the side of your crash helmet rather than the top and running the risk of looking like a teletubby.
You can change the angle of vision so it's not such a wide angle.
Battery life is quite poor - lasts about an hour. You can connect to a Bluetooth headset and add your commentary on the video.
Pretty sturdy bit of kit, but I don't use it on the road all the much. In Devon, all you tend to see are tall hedges.
