I have had this a couple of times, I'm running a jetex can't afford a new carb at the moment but twice now on the same bend going up hill, I get like it's starving of fuel or flooding, it dies starts and runs, but full throttle nothing everytime I've tuck the carb off the float looks fine easily moving, it wrecked the new plug doing this shorted it out I presume to much juice, any ideas anyone

I'll offer a theory. Are you using a fast-flow petrol tap? If not , do so.

Also, possibly the carb inlet valve, operated by the float is too small.

drill a small hole in the bottom of rubber hose to filter it could be fuel sitting there and flowing back into carb

The air hose from the carb that connects to air filter with it being a jettex you connect a rubber hose and they can fill with excess FUEL and cause problems so you put a hole in for the excess to drip out
