I remember a while ago there was a picture on a thread on here relating to something totally different of a Lambretta with a plastic fuel can that bolted on to the back of the leg shield mounted spare wheel, can't remember if it was round and fitted inside the wheel but I think it was orange or red and I remember thinking what a good idea, can anyone point me in the right direction. Cheers.

I know the one you mean. It was Mr G in NY who had one fitted. They're an American company, but available over here. I can't remember the name offhand. But you ought to be able to search for it.

Problem with these is that the filler is very small and they have to be filled with a funnel and the spout leaks when pouring out.
There is another one , fuel friend (?) which has a spout to take a petrol pump.

Here you go ....holds 1 US gallon about 4 liters Very useful ,needed it this summer when
me and mate ran out of fuel en route to a rally in Rhode Island in the middle of nowhere, got
us to a gas station ! result !! All you need to carry is a funnel as the pour system is poor , I carry a
collapsible Ikea one from the kitchen dept , it folds flats so its easy to store . G.
