Is it because I'm getting old, boring, and don't understand inflation....
Or is the price tag on a restored vespa 90 ss rather obscene....
Pinch me....

The proof of the pudding is whether that price tag generates a receipt.

You can ask what you like but doesn't mean someone is going to give what you want.

That said there are always people with cash to spare.

How can you as a seller come to the assumption that somethings worth such an over inflated ridiculous price..
There is another up for auction for less than half the price.... More realistic I would say...still £7000.....
Ouch.

As DigDug says, you can ask what you want as a seller, wether someone will pay that is another matter. The seller may be lucky and might just find someone who's prepared to pay that amount.

It's just pie in the sky. The trouble is for every stupid person that pays that much there will be someone looking to ask more.

There's a lot of idle rich, prepared to be fleeced, around.

Look at how many companies' marketing strategies revolve around just that.

i reckon an unrestored box fresh Piaggio italian made ss90 probably is a 16 grand bike. think about it this way, a basic Kia Piccanto is12 grand and after 7 years its worth 2 grand. youve lost 10 grand. A retired bank middle managment chap does a cruise every year in retirement with his missus and pays 10 grand to tour the Norwegian fjords for three weeks, money gone. A BMW 730d new is 60 grand. be worth 30 grand after 4 years or less. if you have this money and you want the best then its not really as bad as it seems. if it lloses money its still a beautiful thing to own and ride. And youve already written off the 12 grand your daughters Fiesta cost when she went to university. it only seems obscene because Spike from the estate down the road offered you two in 1985 for 400 quid.
