Was taken from his back garden in the early hours.

Located in Hartlepool

Looks like they came prepared to take it and it's not opportunist kids, it had a chain on and was covered both of which have gone which makes it look like it was picked up

It's the only time it has been left in back garden. He lives in a pedestrian cul de sac

Police notified

I don't think the motor has a engine number but I would know it as I repaired it (various timeserts, welding and some chemical metal which I kept photos of).
I built the motor and the bike and could ID many parts. Motor just had a thin ring piston fitted.

There a twin tank conversion with some weld repairs that I did and the top end was a DSC stage 4 with some mods to the top three fins I did to ease getting it on/off when in the bike
Pepperpot disc on front, forks have bolts with grease nipples in, flat carrier on back has some distinctive strengthening welds on the base plates. 26mm phbh on cdc manifold, legshields have captive bolts welded on to carry the legshield glove box, headset top has rivnut repair for headlight rim, had a big flat rear wheel carrier rack, LH panel cut for big carb - as you see plenty of distinguishing bits which may come up for sale

Keep you eyes peeled for anything suspicious

Set up an automatic alert on eBay for those parts so you're notified if anything that fits the description is posted on there. Also keep an eye on Gumtree. There are only so many outlets for the parts, unless it was stolen to order.
Commiserations and good luck.

It was lifted by local thieves - following a tip off we got a name and location which was given to the police.

Shaun just rang to say Police have just called to inform they have it and it is currently in storage for finger printing.

He was told there is very little damage, steering lock and ignition. Neither of us have seen it yet but it should be back shortly.

Great news !!!
