I use a Vango kayaking backpack. Had it about 4 years with daily use and all still good.

+1 for Lomo bags. Aldi occasionaly has roll top bags on sale.

eBay can also provide economical roll top alternatives

I use the Aldi ones as well - top value. Problem with end-opening ones is that you can never find anything without emptying the whole bag. These side-opening ones are a lot more practical to access and easier to store stuff in temporarily (like thermal jacket liners) while riding.
I have the Aldi end opening one, similar to the L.C.G.B. one but these are top opening like the Kappa one, they are 50 litres capacity.

Aldi also had smaller ones - for those with less baggage....

I also bought the Aldi bag in yellow and used it on a recent trip to Get Outta Dodge rally in Ireland. Following this event, I can assure you that it is waterproof. It was thoroughly tested.

My smaller bag is made by Musto, the sailing accessory manufacturer. This is waterproof, but does not have the roll-neck mouth of the Aldi bag. Nice bag though.
