Used them before but never again, too much doggy dealing with shipping costs IMO.

Hope you get things sorted anyway.

Here's how that works ... you order direct and pay for item direct. When goods arrive here they are subject to import duty and VAT. Not sure what the official figure is for duty but for arguments sake lets say 7%.
You buy £100 item.
Shipping £20.
You pay them £120
Import duty £7
sub total £127.00
then you pay 20% vat on the sub total [that includes 20% on shipping and duty]
VAT £25.40
Sub total £152.40
........ but it may not end there as the shipping agent pay the VAT on your behalf and charge you a VAT deferment charge of an indeterminable figure, might be £5, might be £25, no idea how they work it out. It seems to be a straight charge rather than a percentage.
VD charge £5.00 ....... £25.00
Total paid £157.50 .... £177.50.
Those are all HMRC charges and shippers charges and nothing to do with scootrs.
You may also strike lucky and your goods sail through with no charges but if not you may get a bill from the shippers weeks later.
Those are all based on air freight, it's far worst if you ship by sea.
HTH.

...... I'm in the same boat, had goods on order for months with no updates as to when or if I might ever get them, though I haven't paid upfront.

So to summarise what appears to be a bit of a bargin can cost you the best part of twice the price. I've dealt with them, once. Wasn't that impressed with their service nor products but they were cheap so able to chalk it down to experience. Personally I'd look at the Traders in the UK or where ever you are who have the products and pay a bit more and remove the need to have involvement with any nasty surprises.
