Thinking of having a new barrel and piston kit, a new carb and exhaust system fitted to my series three Lambretta. I have all the parts but don't have the time to do it. How much can I expect to pay for this type of work? Thanks
How hard can it be!

May be an option but I would expect to pay whoever does it

if its a known mate that hasn't got the ability or the time, I'd do it for a bottle of wine.

If its a lazy sod that can't be arsed and think everyone owes him a favour, then I wouldn't.

To "sling it together" less than a hundred............

Alternatively:

Will the casings need matching to the barrel ? if so add a fair bit more, then to fit it, leak test it, clean the barrel up, jet it correctly, set the squish, etc , maybe a good days work (price accordingly), then finish off with a Dyno to double check things are ok (cost varies).

So the price could be somewhere between £100 - £500.............give or take a few hundred.

Do they not have 'Alcohol Consumption In Public Spaces' legislation down your way yet? If not then get used to the idea of painstakingly filling soft drinks cartons with your Mouton Rothschild and sipping it through a straw as you amble wherever you amble/sleep on a park bench/bus shelter/doorway/cell etc. :D
