heres a chance for you to post some of the dumb things you wished you hadn't done ...your mistakes, cockups , and general gaffa tape /string lashups and butchery that you have inflicked on your scoots

here's one of mine from yesterday.

Removing the engine cowling from my Li150... its in a tight spot with the exhaust clamp directly opposite, spray shield below and about 10 degree spanner swing.
Ok ....heres a chance to use one of my new set of shiny chrome rachet spanners thought I :D

Everything was going great right up to the point when I realised that I'd left too little space to remove the rachet spanner  bugga!...

Everytime I tried to prise the spanner off the bolt, the rachet grabbed another few clicks and the gap got even less !......

No amount of levering would prise it free so just as I prepared to hacksaw the exhaust clamp bolt and wreck the manifold it finaly slipped off the bolt...phew!....

mmm dropping the rear shock wouldn't help in that case as the exhaust will swing with the engine, no difference at all.

I'll raise your filter with a varitronic flywheel not seated correctly and thought was done up tight. Less than a mile and its making a break for freedom and cracked....Image

Once, many moons ago. I put the front wheel in without locating the links in the lug. That went well.

Looks like there's enough room to get an open ended spanner in there to tighten the nut and get the ratchet spanner out.
