Car Insurance

Hi,

I’m returning to the U.K. after working abroad for a 6 years and want to know if I can carry on my above 9 years no claims insurance premium from when I last had full insurance in the U.K.? I have been driving abroad and have also racked up a no claims bonus here too. Whilst I believe this will be a NO, any comments around the subject from people in the know would be appreciated.

Regards,

Treeman

Normally you lose your no claims if you are not insured for a period of 3 years, but I'm not sure if insurance and no claims bonus built up overseas can be used. Best bet would be to call an insurance company and ask the question...you'd probably have more luck with global insurers than UK only, companies like Aviva, Axa, etc.
