Just renewed my scooter insurance with TR Youngs. In doing so I mentioned that as I was concerned any breakdown recovery (which is included) would count as a claim on the policy (and would need to be declared on ALL other motor policies as well).

Ollie conformed that that WAS the case historically, although now the breakdown side is totally separate to the policy , and any recovery does NOT have to be declared anywhere else.

well thats a move in the right direction from last year, which made me look around for a different insurer.
Tr Youngs Quoted me £262.89 (with markerstudy) two scooters both fully declared all mods. Got Cover (with Markerstudy !!) £128.00 with another Broker. renewal just came through At £133.00.
