We have a long trip coming up in a few weeks to Monza, will need plenty of oil, running a Mugello 198 any good suggestions for oil at a reasonable price?

Do a search of previous topics and you'll find "Groundsman" and "Exol" are the most popular.

Groundsman semi synth by rock oil, if you can find a good supplier local to you (try garden machinery places if you get stuck) then you can get it from as little as £15ish for 5 litres (yes, I did say 5 litres!).

Top stuff, have run it for years on everything from a standard bike to a mugello 225 with no issues whatsoever.

So this is the semi synthetic stuff? I think all the controversy was over the fully synthetic Exol, not seen any bad reports on the semi so could be good, I'm looking at getting some Groundsman but apparently Rock oil have messed up with their base stock and therefore it won't be available until they get that sorted out.

I've got a very good price of one supplier, so good in fact that it's to be taken with a pinch of salt, I'll report back once I actually have the oil here.

I've just bought a another 20 litre barrel of the Exol fully synthetic, been using it for years (along with 2 mates) and no issues at all.
