Just a handy tip for anyone changing a piston with a stubborn pin. The long d bolt which holds vespa casings together fits under malossi, polini and gp150 piston circlips but catches on the gudgeon pin. I'm sure it fits under others but these are the only ones I've used this method on. On a t5 or p2, after removing the clip on the flywheel side of the piston, the d bolt can be put in through the gudgeon pin from the other side. With the engine in the frame it's almost impossible to remove the clip from that side. It'll sit under the clip and with sockets and washers or piece of pipe or whatever's handy, by winding in the 11mm nut you can draw the pin out of the piston. Working on a lambretta tonight I used the d bolt from my vespa toolbox to pull in a stubborn gp150 pin. It takes a bit of time because of the shortage of thread on the bolt but it works. Hope this makes sense!
