Hi,bit of an odd one this, but one for the mathematically competent.
Most of us have read the Webster tuning manual,a great source of information, but i cant for the life of me work out how to calculate the % rise from 3rd gear to 4th gear as he does in his gearing charts.
These days there are more gearsets available,so i would like to be able to calculate the jump between gears.
Im thinking in particular of the Vijay Mk 2 gearbox that uses the Li150 3rd and the SX200 4th.
Hopefully there is a mathematician out there that doesnt have to use his fingers, then his toes to count!

the early vijay 150 box is actually a good gearbox as the jump between 3rd and 4th is even smaller than the indian gp200 gearbox, as said the mk2 box is dire as its got a massive jump between 3rd and 4th and is not good if you have a narrow powerband. i use the gearbox calculator on here look down the index to the bottom, sadly vijay is not on it.

according to the Avatone gear box visulizer , vijay mk1 % rise between gears is 43,47,29
Indian GP200 43,47,19
italian 43,35,30.
