As much as we are trying to control heat it appears that Dan faced a similar battle :)

from a chap i speak to occasionally who worked there,he left to work at metrakit in spain and designed a new 50cc engine for metrakits motorcross bike he travelled over to see me from barcelona and spent 2 days with me developing it on my dyno.
i also read all work/testing was done on the dyno on a produce/cut and test basis with no sim work

The Aprillia RSA125 GP bike was developed on an eddy current dyno.

Interesting thread . IMHO the inertia works great for the sprinter but when sittin on my roadbike at mid throttle on a motorway I rely more on plug chops info. Despite consuming copious bacon butties I cannot create sufficient load/drag to get reliable mid throttle AFR readout , all IMHO of course ;)

lol...try bigger pies.

Inertia dynos do what they do well, i'd love to have a go on a more expensive 'exotic' dyno to see what jetting changes i would make differently with different equipment. Would make an interesting experiment. But we do well with what we've got, and don't seem to have any problems, so happy days.

That is correct ref the testing with no sim work, the inertia bit is not though. As I say....eddy current ;)
