Having a bit of work done ready for the scooter shootout so ive decided to post some photos of the work Ben has done to the barrel and piston. Piston started to get a hair line crack were the red marker is.

does ya boost port break through the liner into the alloy of the cylinder?

yes it does thats were you can see the welding at inlet manifold.

Ya have a large exaustport and only small support for ya piston on ya inlet side; is it piston rock has caused ya piston t crack?

possible, to get the inlet timings the half circle cutout is were there is a thinner step on piston inside and thats were it started to split.

Which is circa 33bhp & 22.5ft-lbs (@ corr-f 0.955 SAE J1349).....and is actually very good for a Rapido.

congrats - nice work at the engine!

Beware of the machined flywheel it is tent to crack at the three bridges.
A reason why I changed to a variotronic and get off the fan and the extra ring that is press on, as well as weld the rivets.
The weight will be 979g.

Hi Lambretta Lutz,
this is an engine from my cutdown 1/4 mile sprinter , its still an on going project, currently having a pipe made to suit the engine instead of the modified franspeed race i was using , the power ended up somewhere around 36 and 38 bhp not 42 , ive been working on a few improvements during this year including different igition and hoping to get back out sprinting next year again.
