Hats off for taking on such a big project. That will definately be one saved from the grave! Looking forward to seeing it come together. Best of luck with it.

I posted up a while ago regarding a rusty series 1 lambretta , I bought it with the frame loop chopped off and that was beyond repair so got another that had had the side panels welded on , so chopped those off , still rough but better .. had the frame blasted and it was a little dimpled in one place with rust so my mate attacked it today at his work .. we respected the 2 metre rule

I bolted on the frame loop as the frame still had the spot welded plates from where it was removed from the old loop so this lined everything up and he welded the acquired loop on

The main frame had a heavy dimpled section so I made a plate up this was drilled for plug welds and was tacked ,plugged and seam welded

There were a few fatigue cracks around some holes that I got him to fill up on the rear of the loop

The front frame had a hole so I made a plate up a couple of weeks ago I had drilled it so it could be plug welded then sealed

After all this was done I gave it a quick blast of grey I had laying around to protect if for now

Just need to get all the bodywork together now so I can start thinking about a ratty paint job and actually putting the thing together.

A good day in lockdown 👍👍👍

here you go , I hope!

pics showing , the other frame loop I bought this had welded on side panels which needed cutting off, they are rough but it isn't going to be a show scooter , ratty and rideable .
