Hi all, just bought my very first scooter (PX 125) and it has been brush painted black. In some places the paint is flaking off and underneath it is smoke grey pearl.
Under the bits that are flaking it looks fine, but i'm guessing there are several parts of the body work that are rusting. I'm more than happy to have a go at tackling the rust spots, but just wondered if there's a way to get the black paint off without affecting the original paint underneath.

Big thanks in advance.

So far i've cleared all the paint off the headset, it's messy, but comes off fine.
Done a small test on the inside of the leg shield and it is only removing the top layer of paint and not the factory paint. I'm guessing the shiny/clear lacquer they use in the factory isn't affected by the by the cellulose, as where the factory paint is scratched it won't remove the brushed on paint.
